Well what a night!  Winter Wonderland was the first of its kind and an overwhelming success. This was a joint Christmas event between Avocet Theatre Company and Banbury Academy which involved live performances, a Christmas Market, an immersive Narnia experience, Santa's Grotto, a Virtual Reality Snowball Fight, a Scientific Christmas, fair rides and much more.

 

With so many people working incredibly hard to stage such a big event it was brilliant to show the community what both ATC and Banbury Academy are capable of!

Ben Coleman, Chairman and Artistic Director of Avocet Theatre Company said “ATC is only a year old having evolved from the successful St John’s Drama Group. When we formed, our ethos was to look for new ways to push the boundaries and create new and memorable theatrical experiences for the people of Banbury. This year we wanted to produce an event that encapsulated the community spirit that makes Christmas a magical time and we are so pleased that Banbury Academy supported that vision. Winter Wonderland was truly an event that bought Banbury together and we are can't thank Banbury Academy enough for forming this partnership!”
