Want to join one of Banbury's most ground-breaking theatre companies? We are looking for members, both on stage and off, who have passion and drive to perform and create new and exciting theatre!

How old do I need to be to join ATC?

We are open to anyone aged between 8 and 108! ATC want to give as many people as possible the chance to be part of exciting theatre and believe that our young members should be able to learn from our older members and vice versa!

 

Do I need previous experience?

Absolutely not! Everyone needs to start somewhere and ATC will provide the foundations and skills you need in the theatre. Some of our members first time treading the boards was with us and they have gone on to be part of numerous other groups as well as go on to top drama schools. If you have previous experience then we will ensure we utilise your talents as well as give you the opportunity to pass on your knowledge and experience on to our other members. 

 

How much will it cost me?

The price varies from show to show however currently we are the cheapest theatre group to join in the local area. We will make any costs clear at the start of a production process so there's no surprise fees. ATC is run by a group of volunteers and is a registered charity. All fees go toward the cost of the production and running the group as well as sometimes going to charities close to our hearts. If you are aged between 8 and 25 and are unable to afford to take part due to financial or social barriers, The ATC Bursary may help cover costs. The ATC Bursary is also in place to encourage underrepresented groups in theatre to take part.

Okay, how do I join?

There's many ways to join the group. If we are preparing to start rehearsals for a production, then we will have a Presentation Evening to introduce the show which will be announced on our website and social media pages. All are welcome to attend this event to find out how to join - it is open to new and returning members. We may also run workshops which are always open to new members! There may also be space in our current production, so please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page to find out. Keep an eye on our website and social media where we will advertise our events where you will be welcome to come along and join in the fun!
